Now in its 6th year, BioMelbourne Network’s annual Devices + Diagnostics Lab is renowned for providing attendees with the practical knowledge and actionable insights necessary for the development and commercialisation of medical technologies.
The full day, interactive program features local and international speakers across business, industry, academia and healthcare to highlight emerging industry trends, case studies of transformational healthcare solutions, and strategies for launching successful products in the global healthcare market.
The theme for the event this year is “disruptive diagnostics,” and will explore the changing landscape for medical diagnostics and devices – how new technologies are disrupting traditional models of business, the role of big data and data analytics, the value of these technologies for patients and which unmet clinical needs remain.
Speakers will explore the opportunities, challenges and complexities around: defining value proposition; understanding unmet clinical need; strategies for determining a pathway to market; navigating partnership agreements; capital raising and deal structuring.
The program includes keynote speakers, panel discussions, case studies, interactive Q&A sessions and plenty of time for networking. This event is also timed to coincide with the Victorian State Government’s 2018 Victoria Invitation Program – which showcases Victoria to business leaders from around the world – creating the opportunity for international delegates to attend sessions and engage with local sector leaders.
