The theme for the 6th annual BioMelbourne Network Devices + Lab is Disruptive Diagnostics.
The full day event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, case studies and interactive Q&A sessions. The event is also timed to coincide with the Victorian State Government’s Victoria Invitation Program 2018 – which showcases Victoria to business leaders from around the world – creating the opportunity for international delegates to attend sessions and engage with local sector leaders.
The event program will explore the changing world of medical diagnostics and devices; how new technologies are disrupting traditional business models; the role of big data and data analytics; as well as how to assess the value of these technologies for patients; and what unmet clinical needs remain. Speakers will consider a variety of technology areas including: point-of-care devices, in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDs), genomics, sensor technology, medical imaging, digital technologies, the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and smart healthcare products.
Outcomes: New insights into pathways to market, informed about global technology and sector trends, new business contacts, greater understanding of product development, new knowledge to inform business strategy, ideas around collaborations and partnerships, increased awareness of local business capabilities.
