Premier’s statement on business restrictions – impacts for businesses

Yesterday Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria announced a series of business restrictions. These are in direct response to Victoria’s move to Stage 4 Restrictions in combating COVID-19 transmission.

Daniel Andrews also announced that businesses in both regional Victoria and Melbourne and Mitchell Shire that have been impacted will be eligible for further support through the expanded Business Support Fund. Businesses in regional Victoria can apply for a $5,000 grant while those in Melbourne and Mitchell Shire can apply for up to $10,000 in recognition of spending longer under restrictions. If you do continue to operate at your work site you MUST have a COVIDSafe plan in place. Businesses have until 11:59 pm Friday 7 August to enact this COVIDSafe plan.
