ViiV Healthcare is a joint venture between GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Shinogi Pharmaceuticals. It was created to bring together the HIV assets from the three businesses to form a single entity that was solely focused on discovering, developing and commercialise assets to treat HIV. With HIV as the sole focus of the business, ViiV's mission is to leave no person with HIV behind. This mission drives decision making on a daily basis and results in decisions seeking to balance commercial benefit with benefit to the HIV positive community in Australia and the world. ViiV is seeking to increase its engagement in the Biopharma ecosystem in Victoria, to support the favourable conditions for growth for all Biopharma businesses.
