Company Profile:
VCAMM has successfully facilitated technology development, transfer and commercialisation with a focus on the materials and manufacturing areas. VCAMM’s members have an operational structure where resources are shared and optimised, and where dynamic, reconfigurable and cross institutional research projects are routinely developed as opportunities arise.Over the past 10 years VCAMM has developed an international network working with leading companies within the Automotive, Aerospace and Defence Industries. Additionally, over the past three years VCAMM has supported the development of Carbon Nexus and relationships have been developed with international Carbon Fibre manufacturers.
Through our ongoing work with defence primes, automotive companies, research organisations and the Defence Materials Technology Centre, VCAMM has first-hand knowledge of the unique requirements associated with military platforms and the know-how to support their technology integration and manufacturing needs. Projects to date have included work on signature management, power systems, materials for munitions and armaments, platform armour and blast mitigation systems.
Utilising these capabilities and experience, VCAMM has demonstrated ability to secure government funding, formulate industry research initiatives and to manage projects to completion on time and on budget. VCAMM is active in all stages of the commercialisation of IP and is involved in a number of successful spin-off companies. The application of VCAMM’s expertise to this project will help ensure its success.
