A new collaboration is set to strengthen Australia and the Asia Pacific’s innovation ecosystem.

The MedTech Actuator has teamed up with Johnson & Johnson Medical Pty Ltd, one of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies, to help catalyse the next wave of innovation success. The collaboration was facilitated by Johnson & Johnson Innovation.

The collaboration will help connect the innovation ecosystem and bring new mentoring to innovators to establish, scale and generate local investment to bring life-changing health technologies to people around the world.

Activating, accelerating and investing in health tech is at the MedTech Actuator’s heart. CEO, Dr Buzz Palmer says that the team is proud to share this exciting journey with Johnson & Johnson Medical.

“This collaboration between the MedTech Actuator and Johnson & Johnson Medical will deliver strong industry mentorship and support to our local innovators throughout the various points in their commercialisation journeys,” says Dr Palmer.

A member from the Johnson & Johnson Medical team will provide local mentorship to one start-up business from the MedTech’s Got Talent program.

Further, the mentoring, networking and training events provided by Johnson & Johnson Medical and Johnson & Johnson Innovation at the local level will allow for the innovations that arise within Australia to appropriately reflect the needs of an Australian market to start, before scaling to overseas markets.

Innovators no longer need to head overseas for mentorship and investment support to scale their companies. They can scale appropriately in Australia thanks to this regional support network and collaborations like this with Johnson & Johnson Medical and Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
