About this workshop

The module leader for this masterclass is Dr Daniel Lace, Physician, Reimbursement Strategist, NAMSA.

This workshop will outline the role reimbursement fundamentals play in the health care sector and the impact in final market integration and adoption as well as the health economic impact. A key focus for participants will be on cost comparison, overall impact on budgets, and real-world evidence and cost data.

Key areas for discussion will include:

  • Design and need for coding and coverage – the basis for the payment structures in the US that provide the underpinnings for reimbursement.
  • Cost and health economic impact – the analysis of the cost in relation to the overall outcome of a technology considering short-term and long-term care of patients. The determination of stakeholders to drive data acquisition, management and analysis.
  • Decision making and policy that drive market adoption and clinical integration – the overall market adoption as a society driven phenomena that is hard to accurately and predict from a single source of data or single factor analysis.
