Sam Lanyon, Executive Director and Co-Founder

Sam is an innovative and strategic business leader with significant experience in strategy, sales and operations with a successful track record in the global commercialization of technology-rich products. Previously, Sam was the International Sales Director for Vision BioSystems where he was responsible for establishing the sales, marketing, customer support, and service operation throughout the EU, Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Sam holds an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Melbourne Business School and strategy training from London Business School.

Roger Langsdon, Marketing & Innovation Manager

Roger is the Marketing and Innovation Manager at Planet Innovation and a specialist marketing and communications professional with a focus on growing an organisation’s reputation and revenue through strategic marketing and high-impact communications. Roger runs the Planet Innovation Pitch^Big program that supports medtech companies establish a commercial strategy to secure funding, partners and clients.

Dr Ian MacFarlane, General Manager – Consulting

Ian is a business leader focused on the successful commercialization of technology based products. He has extensive experience managing the full product life-cycle from market need to manufacturing and sales of medical products. His industry background is in product development and manufacture in regulated markets for medical diagnostic instruments, laboratory automation and medical research equipment. His experience includes product development, sales, operations and management roles.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a PhD in fluid mechanics from the University of Melbourne.
