As in previous years we’ll kick off the event program with a look at what lies ahead for Melbourne’s biotechnology, medical technology and pharmaceutical sector in 2020?  Our annual Hot or Not event will explore trends for the coming year with a selection of speakers each presenting a short snapshot of what is HOT or NOT heading into 2020, in their areas of expertise.

At the event this year we’ll be joined by the City of Melbourne talking about their work with business and industry running testbeds to trial 5G and the IoT and how this can benefit Melbourne. Illumina will be sharing insights into initiatives they are working on in Genomics and Precision Medicine. What is a Digital Twin and what does it mean for the health industry, CSIRO’s Data61 will provide us with an update and Exigence will be giving us the latest on cybersecurity as it relates to biotech, pharma and health
