The Opportunity:
Are you a people person with a flair for organisation and events? The Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD) is seeking a proactive and personable Concierge & Events Coordinator to support our daily operations and deliver exceptional visitor and event experiences in our world-class medical research facility.
Main Activities
- Welcome and guide visitors to ensure a professional front-of-house experience
- Coordinate event bookings and room availability
- Plan and manage logistics for on-site events, including amenities, catering, and AV/recording
- Liaise with stakeholders including partner organisations, tenants, students, and suppliers
- Manage deliveries and general enquiries (in-person, phone, email)
- Assist with reporting maintenance issues and act as Ground Floor Fire Warden
- Provide administrative support and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Ideal candidate:
Experience:
- A friendly, confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Experience in a concierge, events, or front-of-house role (preferred)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with basic tech
- A team player who can also work independently
- Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
