Australia’s flagship digital health commercialisation initiative, ANDHealth+, has been awarded $33 million in new funding to broaden its national footprint and support a greater number of emerging digital health companies.
The funding, announced by the Hon Ed Husic MP, Minister for Industry and Science, was delivered through the Medical Research Future Fund’s (MRFF) Early Stage Translation and Commercialisation Support programme. It will enable ANDHealth to scale its support for high-growth potential companies, particularly those targeting unmet clinical needs.
“This investment will allow us to back even more world-class Australian digital health companies, accelerating their progress towards commercial success and improved patient outcomes,” said Bronwyn Le Grice, ANDHealth’s Founder and CEO.
The funding boost was designed to strengthen the pipeline of evidence-based, clinically validated digital health technologies in Australia, with a focus on areas such as remote monitoring, digital therapeutics, clinical decision support, and patient engagement tools.
Companies in the programme will receive support across clinical trials, regulatory pathways, business models, reimbursement strategies, and capital raising—key hurdles that often slow commercialisation of digital health innovations.
Minister Husic highlighted the importance of supporting Australian innovation: “This funding reflects our belief in the potential of Australian digital health companies to compete globally and deliver transformative solutions for healthcare systems and patients.”
