On Thursday 23 November, KPMG hosted 107 BioMelbourne Network members in person at the 2023 BioMelbourne Network Annual General Meeting, in Docklands.
At the event, David Herd, the Board Chair, and Jeff Malone, our CEO, reflected on the Network’s achievements in 2022-2023 and thanked the Board of Directors, member organisations, sponsors, partners and the Victorian Government for their support.
Jeff also acknowledged his team and congratulated Nicki Pitcher, our Office Manager, for 20 years of service with BioMelbourne Network.
We are pleased to announce the re-election for a second term of Dr Elane Zelcer as Deputy Chair of the BioMelbourne Network Board of Directors at the 2023 Annual General Meeting on 23 November.
Angela Luttick, 360biolabs Co-Founder and Executive Vice President, Commercial, presented an inspiring keynote speech about collaboration. And how it was key to her success in two companies: Aviragen Therapeutics and 360biolabs.
Angela also highlighted the strength of the Victorian medical research sector, how research institutes are successfully creating spin-off companies here and investment opportunities available in Europe.
There were plenty of opportunities for AGM attendees to speak with peers. Our thanks to Alun Needham and the team at KPMG for hosting the AGM and facilitating an excellent networking function.
We are delighted to launch the 2023 BioMelbourne Network Annual Report.
We discuss our successes in 2022-2023 and report on strategic priorities, BioMelbourne Network events and testimonials from our members.
