MedTech Innovator is the largest accelerator of medical devices in the world and the industry’s premiere nonprofit global competition and accelerator for medical device, digital health, and diagnostic companies. We’re looking for out standing early to mid-stage medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies in the Asia Pacific region who are transforming healthcare.
In 2023, MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific will recognize the 20 best-in-class startups across the Asia Pacific regions. Selected startups will receive a slot in MedTech Innovator’s annual Asia Pacific Accelerator program and will be eligible to compete for up to US$300,000 in cash prizes and awards. There is no application fee, and no equity is required from participating companies.
The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023.
Join the “MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific 2023” session for startups and scale-ups to learn about the benefits of applying to MedTech Innovator. In this session, you will also hear tips from MedTech Innovator alumni and a corporate partner on the application process and more.

Jeff Malone- CEO of BioMelbourne Network
Jeff joined BioMelbourne Network as the CEO in July 2020. Prior to this, he worked in a senior leadership role with Design and Industry, building new markets for Australian product development across the U.S. and Southeast Asia. He was also the COO for Grey Innovation.
Fredrik Nyberg- Managing Director, Asia Pacific of MedTech Innovator
Fredrik is the Managing Director, Asia Pacific of MedTech Innovator. Fredrik Nyberg brings 30 years of healthcare industry experience, 25 of which were spent in Asia Pacific, including China and Japan. He has worked extensively with start-up medical technology companies both as an advisor and as a venture capitalist. He began his career in Asia in regional sales and marketing in anesthesia, critical care, and patient monitoring.
Greg O’Grady- CEO of Alimetry (MTI APAC 2022 Cohort)
Greg is the Founder and CEO of Alimetry, a start-up company that is developing a wearable medical device that non-invasively diagnoses chronic gastric symptoms. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Auckland, where he leads the Surgical Engineering Lab, focused on generating novel medical device solutions for unmet needs. His clinical and research practice is focused on gastrointestinal diseases, and he is a world expert on gastrointestinal electrophysiology. His research work has led to founding roles in three spin-out companies including The Insides Company and Alimetry.
