Oncology One Pty Ltd has announced it will provide funding for an award at the Childhood Cancer National Symposium being hosted in Sydney from 26-27 October 2022.
Consistent with Oncology One’s focus on supporting early-stage research that has the capacity to diversify
and transform the cancer treatment space, the team has elected to fund the Translational Award – which is
one of the most noteworthy accolades at the research showcase.
The Zero Childhood Cancer Personalised Medicine Program (ZERO) is a comprehensive translational research and clinical program, which supports personalised therapies for children diagnosed with cancer. Zero Childhood Cancer is led in partnership by Children’s Cancer Institute and Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital – and facilitates national collaboration between all eight paediatric oncology centres in Australia and 12 leading global research institutes too.
The Zero Childhood Cancer National Symposium is based on the theme, “Towards Precision Oncology for All”. The two-day event will include a variety of globally respected speakers and speaker formats, focusing on subject areas relevant to paediatric cancer:
• Cancer biology and clinical translation
• Genetics, genomics and cancer predisposition
• Psychosocial research, and ethics
• Functional biology and preclinical modelling
