Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health’s in-house legal counsel, Ms Charlotte Weld-Blundell, is a finalist in the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia’s corporate lawyer awards.
Charlotte was recognised in the ‘New to In-House’ category for her positive impact as legal counsel at the Florey Institute and is the only counsel from a medical research institute to be recognised by this prestigious accolade.
This exciting news highlights the importance of in-house counsel at research institutions for their role as ethical guardians, advisors, and innovation partners as well as the experience they bring to the translation of intellectual property and the legal structures that underpin research collaborations across Australia.
