The Melbourne Biomedical Precinct is recognised as Australia’s, and one of the world’s, leading biomedical precincts delivering outstanding clinical care, education and world-class research.
The Melbourne Biomedical Precinct Office was established by the Victorian state government in late 2016 to drive economic development in the Precinct and strengthen its position as a world leader in biomedical research, development and innovation.
The Office has three key roles across strategic planning, advisory and promotion of the Precinct. It works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and in 2017-18 will deliver a 20-Year Strategic Plan, as well as a Framework Plan for the Precinct (with Victorian Planning Authority).
