The Opportunity

Based on over 19 years of success and strong growth, our client seeking a dynamic, Ph.D-qualified, highly motivated, and driven technical sales specialist to join their life sciences sales team in the territory of Victoria. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for successfully managing, maintaining and growing sales of their product portfolio by engaging with customers in a highly technical manner.

The Ideal Candidate

To have the privilege of joining this successful team, you will be an outstanding Technical Sales Specialist with a demonstrated high level of professional success. In addition, you will have experience in:

♦ Building and leveraging strong customer relationships at a highly technical level
♦ Selling across a range of genomics, cell biology, and protein science product lines
♦ Achieving sales targets, developing a solid sales pipeline and customer database
♦ Development and implementation of an achievable territory business plan
♦ Participation in local sales meetings and relative industry conferences
♦ Product training and field installations of selected products
♦ Product demonstrations of selected products
♦ Customer problem solving and troubleshooting in consultation with the relevant Business Development Manager and Technical Support Group

Position Requirements

♦ A Ph.D. in Life Science or related field and previous laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques and/or cell biology and/or imaging
♦ 3-5 years sales experience in the Life Science market – preferably with instrument sales experience
♦ A well-developed technical approach to selling across product lines
♦ A desire to learn new technologies, applying this knowledge to your sales process
♦ A passion to provide a very high standard of customer service
♦ Previous field installation / training experience
♦ Well-developed understanding of the commercial realities of selling in life science market
♦ Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
♦ Excellent computer skills
♦ A willingness and ability to engage customers at senior levels
