MTPConnect is seeking a Project Manager, Researcher Exchange and Development within Industry (REDI) Program. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading not-for-profit working to grow Australia’s medical products sector.

About the organisation
MTPConnect is part of the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Centres Initiative. It forges stronger connections between research and industry and maximises opportunities for Australians to make scientific and technological breakthroughs that are successfully translated and commercialised. It achieves this by improving collaboration, providing and facilitating funding, developing skills, informing policy and promoting regulatory reform.

About the opportunity
MTPConnect is deploying the MRFF-funded Researcher Exchange and Development within Industry Initiative (REDI) that is working to provide industry experience and skill development for students, researchers, clinicians, MTP (medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical) sector professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators to build an industry ready workforce.

The Project Manager of REDI will report to the REDI Director and will support the management, delivery and reporting of the REDI Initiative. This is an opportunity to contribute to growth of the Australian MTP sector through targeted programs that close skills gaps identified in the REDI Skills Gap reports.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who can support the Director to deliver projects on time, within budget and alongside key partners and stakeholders. If you have 3-5 years’ project management experience and history with stakeholder engagement in the MTP sector, we’d like to meet you.

The position is a full-time, fixed term contract to 30 June 2023. Location is flexible with remote and/or working from home arrangements supported.  The MTPConnect Head Office is in Melbourne, with hubs in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
