About the organisation
Formed in 2015, MTPConnect is part of the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Centres Initiative to accelerate the growth of the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical (MTP) sector. It forges stronger connections between research and industry and maximises opportunities for Australians to make scientific and technological breakthroughs that are successfully translated and commercialised. It achieves this by improving collaboration, providing and facilitating funding, developing skills, informing policy and promoting regulatory reform.

About the opportunity
MTPConnect is working with Pathology Technology Australia to develop a national Action Plan for building end-to-end sovereign manufacturing capability for diagnostic tests. The Project Manager Diagnostics Industry Engagement will report to the Director Diagnostics Industry Engagement and will support the management, delivery and reporting of the Action Plan.

This is an opportunity to contribute to establishing Australia as a regional centre of excellence for diagnostics technology manufacturing and strengthen innovation in this sector.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who can support the Director to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to the goals of the action plan.

If you have 3-5 years’ project management experience and a history of stakeholder engagement in the medical technology, biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector, we’d like to meet you.

The position is full-time, with a fixed term 12-month contract. Location for this role is flexible, with remote and/or working from home arrangements supported. The MTPConnect Head Office is in Melbourne, with hubs in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
