Date Posted – 1 June 2021
Event Date – 3 June 2021

As COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Nepal, with more than 8,000 daily cases and a 44% positivity rate, the country’s health system is under significant pressure.

Many people from around the world are standing with Adara at this time of crisis. To provide our supporters with real-world insights into this emergency, we will be hosting an upcoming webinar.

Join us on Thursday 3 June at 5:30PM AEST for a briefing and Q&A with Pralhad Dhakal (Nepal Country Director), Angjuk Lama (Nepal Programme Manager) and Dr Sagar Poudel.

In this webinar, our team will answer key questions, including what does this crisis look like in reality? What are the greatest needs? And how is Adara responding at this time of immense need?

You will hear directly from our teams on the ground, as well as Dr Sagar Poudel – a public health expert working in the midst of this fierce second wave of COVID-19. The team will share updates on our emergency response programme, as well as challenges that the country is facing, including hospital bed and oxygen shortages, vaccine challenges, school closures and food insecurity fears. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A directly with the team leading our emergency crisis response, including asking your own questions.

COVID is showing us that we are all connected and that we must reach out and help our neighbours in the developing world to face this heart-breaking crisis. For Adara’s supporters who want to understand the unfolding crisis our global neighbours in Nepal are facing and Adara’s emergency response, please join us for this webinar.
