The ANZBMS Clinical Research Grant is designed to fund projects that generally fall outside the parameters of other sources of funding. It’s aim is to support research to help improve bone health and reduce related fractures which leads to improved quality of life and care for people living with osteoporosis.

The grant supports a range of areas – basic science, clinical studies, public health, allied health, epidemiology and education while fostering research with young investigators – and are seeking applications from scientists or clinical researchers who have received their research or clinical qualification within the last 5 years.

The program is not intended to support laboratory research studies.
Applications close 5pm (EST) 8 July 2022

The Sambrook Young Investigators travel award, is named after Professor Sambrook OAM who was the inaugural Medical Director of Healthy Bones Australia (formally Osteoporosis Australia) and past President of the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society. Professor Sambrook Young made an immense contribution to research and public awareness about bone health and osteoporosis in Australia.

This annual award offers a valuable opportunity for a young researcher to make career-advancing connections with the international bone research community. Both laboratory scientists and clinical researchers are encouraged to apply.
