Full Stack Developer

Are you a creative software engineer looking to create a greater impact through your work? At Nutromics we are developing an innovative platform technology that will save millions of lives. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who will perform software engineering work to support the research, development, and commercialisation of our novel sensing platform.

In this exciting role, you will establish Nutromics software development environment, configure and establish software services, and conduct design and development. You will be building and testing web applications and software for analysing sensor data to produce a scientifically valid and clinically useful output.


  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent discipline

Skill and Experience

  • 2+ years of commercial software development experience in Linux and/or Windows environments or equivalent
  • 2+ years of commercial software development experience in web application development
  • Experience working with a variety of cloud IaaS, PaaS, or BaaS services
  • Experience with developing processing applications for time-series sensor data
  • Experience in coding, unit testing, deployment, and configuration of solutions involving the customisation of, and integration of various services
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, complying with standards such as IEC 62304
  • Experience with code repositories and source control (e.g., GIT, BitBucket)
  • Experience working with UX and service designers
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication and relationship building capabilities
  • Exposure to scientific research, especially in biosensors, is desirable


  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions and test planning sessions
  • Design, develop and maintain medical-grade software applications
  • Write software specifications and document architecture in accordance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304
  • Maintain comprehensive unit and integration test harness
  • Document software code in accordance with generally accepted best practice
  • Provide status of work and do impact analysis for change requests
  • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and minimise risks
  • Working with a risk management team, ensure that software is safe for its intended use and use environment
  • Develop procedures and work instructions to ensure that work is completed reproducibly, efficiently and safely
