The Opportunity

BioMelbourne Network is a not for profit membership association for organisations engaged in biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceuticals and health innovation in the State of Victoria.  We are seeking a Communications Officer to join our close-knit team to develop and manage content for our communication channels; create marketing campaigns for our events and programs; and liaise with members to communicate their news to the sector.

The Ideal Candidate

Your experience in marketing and communications and/or science or technology writing in a busy environment will be an asset and assist our busy team to achieve our communication goals.  You will have strong attention to detail and be able to build relationships with our members and stakeholders.

You will have;

  • A science communication qualification or other qualification in communications, media or marketing and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in creating EDMs, website content and social media posts – experience with Zoho campaigns would be advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written skills, with a very high attention to detail.
  • Experience in building engagement on social media platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in or a willingness to learn website content management.
