The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a new Field Service Engineer to support their Victorian customers across their Applied Markets Sector.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Support of their laboratory customers including technical troubleshooting and repairs on instrumentation in customer labs across sectors including environmental, industrial, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, academic centres, and universities.
  • Assess and prepare sites and carry out installations and validation of instrumentation.
  • Organize and perform service activities for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation at customer sites.
  • Work closely with the Customer Services team and Sales team to provide a high standard of customer excellence and promote instrument and consumables sales.
  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users and company personnel

Position Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronic, Analytical Chemistry or Biomedical Engineering equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a field service engineer or similar technical field including analytical sciences, life sciences, chemistry, pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with operating, troubleshooting, and servicing analytical chemistry instruments including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS, GC, LC, IR are preferred.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information, including applications knowledge
  • Aptitude for logical troubleshooting essential.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Exceptional level of self-motivation and time management
  • A well-developed technical approach with a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness and ability to engage customers at all levels.
  • You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and provide evidence of vaccination status in order to be considered eligible for this position.
