2023 Fellowship Opportunity – mRNA Victoria and Pfizer Joint Industry Fellowship

Posted: 20 September

Closes: 24 October

mRNA Victoria and Pfizer are partnering to give an early career researcher based in Victoria the chance to spend nine months during 2023 working in the United States at Pfizer’s Emerging Science and Innovation Unit RNA Accelerator

Building on the success of the Pfizer mRNA research symposium in June 2022 – hosted by BioMelbourne Network and mRNA Victoria – the Fellowship is a unique opportunity for a local researcher to work with one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies.

We encourage applications from early career researchers with a minimum PhD requirement working at a Victorian university or research institute in a related field with a strong RNA background.

The relevant project on which the successful Fellow will work within Pfizer’s RNA Accelerator must come from the field of cellular reprogramming, infectious disease vaccines, chronic or rare renal diseases, rare liver diseases, rare neuromuscular diseases or repeat expansion diseases.

mRNA Victoria and Pfizer will together cover the cost of travel, accommodation and living expenses for the nine months of the Fellowship, up to USD$100,000.

At the completion of the Fellowship, the successful applicant will return to Victoria to complete their research project, utilising the knowledge and skills gained from their time with Pfizer and sharing the lessons learned with the local mRNA ecosystem.

Applications are now open and close October 24th, 2022.

Application Form and Fellowship Guidelines can be found at the mRNA Victoria website
