2023 Bioshares Biotech Summit
The 17th Bioshares Biotech Summit will be held this year in Hobart, Tasmania, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor on 24-25 July 2023. The Summit is an ideal event for fund managers, stockbrokers and investment bankers active in the sector as well as retail investors who have a committed interest in biotech stocks or are looking to build their knowledge and networks in this space.
Two themes for this year will be partnering and not surprisingly financing, given the challenging market conditions. At each Summit, approximately 25 companies present, predominantly ASX listed biotechs. A distinguishing feature of the Summit is that companies are asked not to present a standard pitch deck, but to present on themes that provide an opportunity for investors to gain a deeper understanding on each company’s business, challenges and opportunities.
The Summit prides itself on many opportunities for networking. The very popular CEO-only dinner will be held again this year, as will a Cocktail Reception and Summit Dinner. The program only has one stream running, so that everyone is a part of the same conversation and learnings across the two-day program.

Accommodation and Conference Venue
All Summit sessions will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor (1 Davey St ,Hobart), which has excellent facilities for breakout meetings. Bioshares has arranged a discounted hotel rate for attendees ($210 per night for city view and $245 per night for harbour view). Off-Site Functions
The CEO Dinner (for biotech company CEOs only) will be held on the Sunday night preceding the Summit (23rd July).
The Monday evening cocktail reception dinner will be held at the stunning Glen Albyn Estate which is a 15-minute drive from Hobart. This function is sponsored by FB Rice and guests are welcome at no additional charge. Buses will leave the conference centre at 7pm and return attendees to Hobart by 11pm.
The closing dinner will be held at the Henry Jones Art Hotel, which is a short walk from the conference centre. This function is sponsored by ASX.
