BioCurate is a bold new $80 million venture that has been formed to specifically address the well-known ‘valley of death’ – early stage barriers that limit the translation and commercialization of biomedical and pharmaceutical research everywhere.
A first for Australia, and one of a small number of similar initiatives globally, BioCurate’s venture catalyst model provides the commercial focus, industry expertise, and funding critical to boost the successful development of new medicines. The company is independently governed and operated.
BioCurate is a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and Monash University, established in Melbourne with the support of the Victorian State Government.
BioCurate is seeking a Senior Development Manager to join this exciting initiative and be part of transforming the way medical research is commercialised in Australia. This position will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Scientific Advisory Committee to lead the development of the BioCurate portfolio from initial academic interaction through achievement of specific project milestones. Success as BioCurate’s Senior Development Manager will be driven through personal drive and initiative, drug development expertise, and excellent academic, CRO and other stakeholder interactions leading to the development and management of a drug development project plan.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, preferably an advanced degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent) and significant experience in managing the early stage drug development process. The ideal candidate will have:
