The BioMelbourne Network Industry/Academia Working group was established to work toward a shared vision for Melbourne as a city with a rich culture of collaboration that fosters industry-academic engagement. The purpose of the group is to identify and reduce barriers for industry-led collaboration with publicly funded research organisations, with an aim increase collaborative R&D activity in Melbourne. This group meets regularly to identify areas to work together to promote and support collaborative activity and is currently providing input into the drafting of submissions to two upcoming Federal government consultations:
1) Research Engagement and Impact Assessment – How to measure industry engagement?
2) Medical Research Future Fund consultation: Strategy and Priorities
