NISA Engagement and Impact Assessment Consultation Paper

June 2016

BioMelbourne Network welcomed the opportunity to contribute a submission in response to the National Innovation & Science Agenda (NISA) Engagement and Impact Assessment Consultation Paper.

Research engagement and impact is a very important issue for BioMelbourne Network members as sector success is built on successful collaboration between academia and industry.

The NISA consultation paper considered how the value and impact of research should be measured and rewarded. With industry as a key partner and “end user” of research, it is important that the metrics used to measure and track research engagement and impact are meaningful and drive behaviour that encourages collaboration.
