To have the privilege of joining this successful team you will be an outstanding Bioinformatician with a demonstrated technical aptitude in genomic bioinformatics, data analytics & biological insight with an exceptional customer support focus. You may be a seasoned technical specialist, or a recent graduate with a strong desire to enter the commercial world supporting some of the most advanced life science technologies.
♦ Communicate with customers both pre- and post-sales; interact with marketing; internal support; and communicate results to diverse audiences.
♦ A partner to the customer in the understanding and analysis of data derived through use of next-generation high throughput sequencing systems.
♦ Problem-solve to overcome technical challenges, including basic Linux operations, genomics analysis software and operation of bioinformatics analysis pipelines.
♦ Assist customers in experimental design and subsequent experimentation to initiate and validate the use of the sequencing instrumentation in their laboratories.
♦ Conduct technical and scientific presentations & deliver bioinformatics training to customers.
♦ Min. Master’s degree, PhD preferred in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Life science and/or computer science.
♦ Familiarity with sequence analysis tools & workflows such as sequence alignment, genome visualization, comparative genomics, structural variation discovery, and epigenetics.
♦ Preference for candidates with laboratory expertise in molecular genetics & next-generation sequencing analysis.
♦ Experience in Unix operating systems & IT knowledge beneficial.
♦ Strong presentation, communication skills & trouble-shooting abilities.
♦ Customer-minded individual with the empathy to understand customer concerns.
