Expressions Of Interest for BioMelbourne Network – Board Director Vacancies

BioMelbourne Network has for the past 18 years championed an environment that has enabled Melbourne organisations to innovate, commercialise and to impact the future of healthcare locally and globally.   BioMelbourne Network is a not-for-profit membership association for organisations engaged in biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceuticals and health innovation in the State of Victoria. It plays a critical role in connecting clinicians, researchers, finance and industry, while supporting and promoting the growth of the sector’s infrastructure and facilitating the development and commercialisation of new drugs, devices, diagnostics and digital health technologies here in Melbourne. 

Expressions of interest are being sought for Board Director position(s) that will fall vacant at the BioMelbourne Annual General Meeting, in November 2019.

To be eligible, applicants must currently be employed by an organisation that is a financial member of the BioMelbourne Network.

The Board has recently undergone a skills gap analysis and has identified the following skills and experience needed to achieved the BioMelbourne Network’s strategy:

  • Experience in health care delivery;
  • Government policy/advocacy;
  • Health/economic analysis;
  • Sector investment experience;
  • HR/talent development;
  • Finance skills and experience.

Previous Board experience is desirable but not essential.

The EOI should consist of a cover letter explaining why you are interested in being a Director on the BMN Board and listing your experience and skills (a short CV), addressing the above skill gaps in 1 or more areas.

Please circulate this EOI to people in your organisation that you think would be suitable and interested.  More than one person can submit an EOI from each member organisation. The BioMelbourne Network Board will consider the EOI’s. New Board members will be confirmed at the 2019 BMN AGM.
