The field covers many application areas including biomaterials, medical devices, biosensors, drug delivery devices, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and antimicrobial materials.
The topic is truly multidisciplinary and spans expertise from physical chemistry and surface science, synthetic chemistry to biochemistry, polymer and materials science, cell biology, molecular microbiology, nanomedicine and nanotechnology.
