What is Red Biotechnology?
Red Biotechnology refers to the use of organisms in genetic engineering processes in order to design and manufacture pharmaceutical products like antibiotics and vaccines. It also includes the use of organisms specifically designed or engineered for cures of genetic diseases, and for use in forensics through DNA profiling.
