May 2016 – Clinical/Industry Working Group

The BioMelbourne Network Clinical/Industry Working Group was established to work toward a shared vision for Melbourne as a world leading location for clinical trials. The purpose of the group is to promote and support Melbourne as a globally competitive and attractive location for world class clinical trials. This group meets regularly to share ideas and find ways to work together to further Melbourne’s clinical trial engagement and communication with industry, locally and globally.

The Clinical/Industry working group met with representatives of the State Government (DEDJTR) on 25th of May to discuss development of a “Melbourne Clinical Trials Attraction Plan”, a program of activities designed to promote and attract international clinical trials to Melbourne. The conversations with the department is ongoing.
