Andrew is Managing Director of Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd and has nearly 25 years commercial experience working in the life sciences industry.
He established Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd in 2001 and the company has grown to become the foremost life science commercialisation firm in Australia, employing 70 staff with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
Andrew is a member of the Medicines Australia Strategic Committee and has chaired and been a member of a number of other industry association committees including Access, Quality Use of Medicines and Continuing Education. He is also a former member of the National Prescribing Service, Medicines Industry Liaison Group.
In addition to Andrew’s life science industry roles, he has just completed 11 years of service as a Non-Executive Director and four years as Chairman of Melbourne City Mission. Melbourne City Mission was established in 1854 and is one of Victoria’s largest and most admired independent community service organisations. Melbourne City Mission employs over 850 staff and with a budget of nearly $60million, the organisation delivers over 70 programs in the fields of disability, justice, homelessness, childcare employment, education and training and residential aged care.
Andrew is also a former trustee of the Dr. John Singleton Trust and a former Councillor of Whitley College, University of Melbourne.
In February 2010, Andrew was featured in the AICD’s Directors Social Impact Study and shared his experiences as a NFP Non-Executive Director.
Andrew has an undergraduate degree in Science, majoring in Pharmacology and Immunology and post graduate qualifications in Business and Organisational Behaviour.
